Katana Karate Host Thrive Fitness will be moving next week to a former NY Sports Club location in Fort Lee. The address is 1355 – 15th St. The location is approximately 1000 sq ft larger than Thrive Fitness current location and will be situated in a market that holds approximately 42,000 residents as compared to 13,000 residents in Edgewater. This move will enable Thrive Fitness and Katana Karate to gain much more market share in the geographic area.
Last Katana Karate practice in Edgewater will take place this coming Wednesday. Next Wednesday, we will meet each other in the new Thrive Fitness Location! We expect larger room and more members! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact Katana Karate or Thrive Fitness.
I will take this opportunity to wish Thrive Fitness success in the new location!

Dear Katana Karate member,
Our schedule for month of December, 2010 is introducing Saturday class at 1:00 PM. This class is replacing Friday 9:00 PM class. In addition, we will practice more of advanced katana bushido art and less of shotokan karate.
Please always remember that techniques practiced at our katana classes are same deadly combat techniques that where considered lethal and prohibited by Japan government since they are fundamentally different from soft, sport forms of martial arts, NOT for entertainment, shows or sport events. As same as Katana swords, Katana Karate is NOT to be shown or used under any conditions unless in extreme life threatening situations and for your self defense only!
Truly Yours,
Katana Karate Founder

Katana Karate dues start in November 2010
Dear Karate friends,
October 2010 and our free introduction to karate ended. Thank you all for coming (over 20 people in just six short hours) to practice shotokan karate with me. I hope that you will continue your membership now, in November, when we will have to start paying small fees to our host facilities, Thrive Fitness. Remember that thanks to the Thrive management, we will be able to continue with our classes by paying minimal membership dues, only $20.00 for Thrive members and $45.00 for non Thrive members monthly. This rate is very small comparing to all other karate schools and we are fortunate to practice our martial arts in beautiful, clean and spacious dojo. Katana Karate is your club; therefore support its existence by paying your membership and coming to every class! Currently we have three masters of shotokan available and ready to teach you and we expect more to join us…our classes will also soon start to be much more interesting and intense as your skills advance into real kase ha shotokan ryu!
To pay fees, please see the Thrive Fitness personnel. If you have questions regarding your membership, you can talk to me on our next class (Monday, November 1st at 9:00 PM). You can also call me at 646 897 0615 or email to: info@katanakarate.com
